Character Stats
Stats
This site uses a loosely interpreted 5 stat system to allow players to better individualize themselves within and beyond their race. Everyone starts out with 30 stat points. The 5 stats are as follows:
-Strength: This is how strong physically your character is. Certain kinds of magic attacks also use the strength stat.
-Endurance: This is how well your character can take physical attacks.
-Arcane: This is how strong your character's magic is.
-Resistance: This is how well your character resists magic attacks
-Speed: The movement speed of your character.
Minimum's and Maximums:
The minimum any stat can be is 10% of your total stats, baring race restrictions( always rounds up).
The maximum any stat can be is 25 and only one stat may hit maximum. To start, the maximum any stat can be is 10.
The maximum amount of stat points any person can have total is 60.
Race restrictions: Some races have special limitations to them regarding their stats, such as having fewer stat points or not allowed to have any points on a stat. Race restrictions(if any) can be found here.

Re: Character Stats
Boosts and Buffs
Boosts and buffs are a means of your character using spells and techniques to amplify there stats.
There is a distinct difference.
Boost: A boost is a raise in stat for that moves duration only. they are typically used to make spells and techniques stronger than regular attacks.
Buffs: Buffs are prolonged boosts in stats that can vary in duration.
The power of a boost or a buff is determined based on the level of the spell or technique in question. At minimum, buff moves must be intermediate and boost spells must be basic.
Boosts:
Amateur: N/A
Basic: +1
Intermediate: +3
Advanced: +5
Expert: +8
Legendary: +12
Buffs:
Amateur: N/A
Basic: N/A
Intermediate: +2
Advanced: +4
Expert: +7
Legendary: +10

Re: Character Stats
Damage Tiers
Just like any other form of attack you can see, whether it's RP or not, spells and physical strikes on this site deal damage. This damage's severity is based the difference between the attacker and the defender's stats. Magical attacks, for example, would be based on the difference between the attacker's Arcane stat, and the defender's Resistance stat. Physical attacks are based on the difference between the attacker's Strength and the defender's Endurance. Attacks that combine both physical and magical aspects are different. For example, a punch enhanced with flames would use the Strength stat when it comes to the attacker, but the defender would look at their Resistance stat. Depending on the amount of magic in the attack, you can choose to use one stat or the other, within the limits of common sense. Thus, when battling, be sure to refer to these damage tiers:Nonexistent (Attack/Arcane is -25 or greater against defense/resistance)
Little to no damage is being taken at this stage, almost as if the attack was not even landed.
Insignificant (Attack/arcane is -24 to -16 against defense/resistance)
Attacks taken are small cuts, and usually provide mild discomfort.
Minor (attack/arcane is -15 to -6 against defense/resistance)
The damage cause has upped to light cuts, as well as bruising. Fire-based attacks can cause singing.
Normal (attack/arcane -5 to +5 against defense/resistance)
At this point, cuts given are noticeably bleeding, and heavy bruising is possible. Burns are upped to the first degree.
Major (attack/arcane is +6 to +15 against defense/resistance)
Cuts are very deep at this point, and usually bleeding heavily. 2nd-degree burns will start to appear, and all bruising starts to become large and purple within a few minutes of the initial attack. As well as this, bones may start to break.
Serious (attack/arcane is +16 to +24 against defense/resistance)
We are now to the point where 3rd-degree burns are appearing, broken bones are easily achieved, and severing limbs is possible.
Fatal (attack/arcane is +25 or greater against defense/resistance)
Any attack of this level that hits is a practically instant kill.
When it comes to calculating your damage, the numbers are simple. Say we have 2 characters that are currently battling each other. Player A attacks Player B. Player A has an Arcane stat of 18 points. Player B has a Resistance stat of 14 points. Now, you take the attack stat, in this case, Arcane, and subtract the defense stat, which right now is Resistance. This leaves you with a difference of 4 points. So, in this case, the damage would be Normal.
